NEW AGRICULTURAL MARKETING INFRASTRUCTURE SUB- SCHEME OF INTEGRATED SCHEME FOR AGRICULTURAL MARKETING (ISAM) (NABARD)
The Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure (AMI) sub-scheme under ISAM, supported by NABARD, provides 25-33.33% back-ended subsidy for establishing rural storage,, cold chains, and primary processing units. It aims to reduce distress sales, improve post-harvest value addition, and enhance farmers' income, with extended operations through March 2026.
Key Details of the AMI Scheme:
Objective: To create scientific storage, strengthen Grameen Agricultural Markets (GrAMs), promote primary processing, and foster direct marketing infrastructure.
Subsidy Structure:
25% of capital cost: General category.
33.33% of capital cost: North Eastern Region (NER), hilly areas, SC/ST, Women entrepreneurs, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
Eligible Projects: Construction/renovation of godowns/warehouses, stand-alone cold storages (up to 1000 MT), packing/grading units, and reefer vans.
Eligible Beneficiaries: Individuals, Farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Cooperatives, Agri-preneurs, and NGOs.
Implementation: The scheme is demand-driven, with subsidy released through NABARD and nationalized banks after project completion and joint inspection.
How to Apply:
Promoters submit project proposals to financing banks (Commercial Banks, Cooperative Banks, Regional Rural Banks) to seek a term loan. Upon sanction, the bank initiates the subsidy claim process through NABARD
